ABOUT THE JOB

Business Development Representative

Your Impact Starts Here

We’re looking for a motivated Business Development Representative (BDR) to help grow our sales pipeline by connecting with trades businesses and identifying opportunities where automation can solve real operational pain points.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys outbound sales, is comfortable with rejection, and wants to build a strong foundation in tech sales while working closely with the Sales Manager.

What you'll be doing:

  • Prospect and engage trades companies via phone, email, and LinkedIn

  • Qualify inbound and outbound leads based on ICP criteria

  • Book qualified discovery meetings for the Account Executive/Sales Manager

  • Maintain accurate CRM records and activity tracking in Hubspot

  • Follow documented outreach sequences and messaging

  • Collaborate with sales leadership to refine scripts and processes

  • Continuously improve outreach based on feedback and performance

What You Won’t Do

  • Close deals

  • Manage contracts or pricing

  • Handle renewals or account management

(This role is focused on pipeline creation, not closing.)

Skills & Qualifications

Who you are:

  • A builder who enjoys creating structure in a fast-growing startup.

  • Curious, proactive, and self-motivated with a bias for action.

  • Comfortable in a remote, collaborative environment.

  • Strong communicator—able to write outreach copy and record short personalized videos.

  • Confident managing pipeline, forecasting, and tracking metrics.

What you bring:

  • 1+ year of outbound sales, customer-facing, or call-based experience

  • Strong communication skills (clear, confident, and professional)

  • Comfortable handling objections and rejection

  • Coachable mindset and willingness to learn

  • Organized and detail-oriented

  • Interest in tech, automation, or problem-solving for businesses

Experience selling to trades businesses is a plus but not required.

Compensation & Benefits:

Compensation:

On-Target Earnings (OTE): $65,000–$80,000
Base Salary: $50,000–$55,000
